Everybody loves giant pandas—they are cute, comical, and fascinating to watch, even when they are sleeping. But, they are also critically endangered and need our help if the species is to survive. Logging of old-growth trees in China has eliminated many high-quality panda maternity dens, which are critically needed to aid in wild giant panda population growth.
Our San Diego Zoo giant panda conservation team needs your help to support our efforts to protect, save, and study these treasured black-and-white bears. We would like to create artificial dens for wild pandas in areas where their natural dens have been destroyed.
