A Real Den Mother
 Mama tiger Mek has done it again—delivered healthy, beautiful cubs at the Zoo! She and proud papa Paka have welcomed two male babies, born April 2. These are Mek's sixth and seventh cubs born at the San Diego Zoo. The boys won't go on exhibit for a while, but stay tuned—we'll be sure to do the cub scouting for you!
Fun Is Fluttering to the Safari Park
 Come out of your cocoon! Thousands of butterflies have at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park's Butterfly Jungle presented by Baskin-Robbins, and they're waiting for you! Taking wing April 9 to May 8, this year's event is themed "metamorphosis," and you won't believe your eyes!
Can You Come Out and Play?
 Make a play date with your favorite Zoo animals during Play Days, April 2-24! Each of the 23 days, we have 23 animal activities planned, such as keeper talks, animal presentations, special activities and treats for the animals, and up-close meetings with animal ambassadors. A party on the newly renovated Front Street Plaza and all sorts of surprises will help make the day! The biggest question is: what are you going to do first?

Spring Winemaker Dinner at Albert's Restaurant at the Zoo
 Spring is in the air at Albert's Restaurant for a special Winemaker Dinner, Saturday, April 23. Celebrate with an extravagant meal prepared by San Diego Zoo's Executive Chef Chris Mirguet and Albert's Chef Charles Boukas, as they pair their culinary art with the sophisticated wine selections of St. Francis Winery and Vineyards, as well as the premium reserve label Wild Oak. Reception with animal presentation begins at 6 p.m., dinner follows at 7. Cost is $89 per person; must be 21 or older to attend.
