(Surprise) Baby on Board

When three female reindeer arrived at the Zoo back in April, one of them had a little secret. That secret, a tiny male calf named Boris, made his appearance in September in the reindeer exhibit at Polar Bear Plunge, much to the delight of keepers. After some TLC from staff, Boris is out and about—come see our sweet surprise!

Mission Fed's Discovery Days:
Festival of Flight at the Zoo

Swoop in from November 11 to 14 when Mission Fed's Discovery Days: Festival of Flight takes off at the Zoo. The flock of fun includes the chance to meet some of our feathered stars, a bird-themed scavenger hunt, tours, and even trapeze classes! A Festival of Flight online auction runs November 5 to 15 and includes unique items like behind-the-scene tours, birding binoculars, paragliding adventures, Stellaluna and three other books signed by author Janell Cannon, an aviation adventure from the Midway, and fun, bird-inspired treasures. It's the perfect chance to find great holiday gifts! All proceeds benefit our condor and Hawaiian bird conservation projects.

Creepy Crawly Festival at the Safari Park

Just because Halloween has passed doesn't mean you can't still have a little "creepy" fun. The Creepy Crawly Festival at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park continues November 6 and 7, Veteran's Day November 11, and November 13. This festival of crawling critters offers fun and fascinating ways to get to know insects, arachnids, and other spineless wonders. Bug out at the Park!
